Allan House

Balinroich Farm is situated 33 miles northeast of Inverness in Easter Ross in what is known as the Tarbat Peninsula. The farm was originally the home of the Allan Estate, with Allan House holding a commanding central position. The farm is located 1.5 miles southwest of the village of Hill of Fearn which offers a primary school, post office and railway station. The nearby Town of Tain provides further services including shops, leisure facilities, two primary schools and Tain Royal Academy. The A9 links easily to Inverness which offers an extensive range of amenities and is one of Europe’s fastest growing cities, with a quarter of the Highland population living in or around it. It is ranked fifth out of 189 British cities for its quality of life and is the highest of any Scottish city. Inverness Airport can also be easily reached and offers regular domestic and European Flights. There is an abundance of recreational pursuits in the area including stalking and shooting, trout and salmon fishing, equestrian, scenic trips, beaches at Sandwick Bay, boats trips that include sea fishing and dolphin watching and of particular note are the seven well regarded golf courses including the famous championship course at Royal Dornoch.
